About Me

Introduction
Hello, I’m Isaac Goldfarb, and welcome to MATARA Life Coaching!

I’m so glad you’re here and interested in learning more about me. As a confidence coach specialising in supporting Women in Tech, I help women boost their self-belief, build resilience, and ignite the motivation needed to thrive in a male-dominated industry. Empowering women to break through barriers and step into their full potential is my true passion.

After more than 25 years in the IT industry, I made the bold decision to focus on what fulfils me most – helping Women in Tech grow, lead, and succeed. Today, I’m dedicated to using my experience to support women in achieving their personal and professional goals with confidence.

My Background
I was born in Israel in 1977 and moved to the UK in 2008 at the age of 30. Since then, I’ve felt a deep connection to both my past home and my present one, considering them both integral parts of who I am.

From a young age, I discovered a natural talent for working with computers, paired with a creative streak that led me to write stories and scripts. I was also drawn to connecting with people, listening to their challenges, and finding ways to help them.

For over 25 years, I built a successful career as an engineer, team leader, manager, and director, contributing to a wide range of organisations, projects, and products. Throughout my journey, I couldn’t help but notice how few women were represented in the industry. And yet, every woman I had the privilege of working with was incredibly talented, dedicated, and inspiring. This realisation, combined with my growing passion for life coaching, led me to take a leap of faith and focus on empowering more women, especially in tech, to thrive and lead with confidence.

My Coming Out Story
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, my journey to living openly and authentically was a long and complex one. Coming out is never a single moment; it’s an ongoing process. The most challenging part, however, is coming out to yourself—acknowledging and accepting that you are different. While self-acceptance is a universal challenge, for those in the LGBTQ+ community, there’s an added layer: the hope not just to embrace who you are but to feel accepted by your family, friends, and workplace.

I came out at the age of 25, following the end of a heterosexual marriage. At the time, I married because I deeply loved my partner and believed it was the only way to achieve my dream of having children.

Through a long and transformative process of therapy, I gained a clearer understanding of myself and my needs. That journey led me to come out, meet my first husband, relocate to the UK with him, and begin the process of building a family.

Being a Proud Parent
Since I was 19, I dreamed of becoming a parent. As a gay man, that path wasn’t always clear, but I learned that when you have a goal, you don’t always need to know how it will happen. You just need to trust in it. In 2010, that dream became a reality with the birth of my twins, who were born prematurely in Mumbai, India, through surrogacy. The first year of their lives was filled with challenges, health issues, complex immigration processes and it took 14 months before we could finally bring them home to the UK.

Now, my daughter is 14. She’s the only girl in a house and from an early age, she’s had to carve out her own space. Watching her grow into a strong, confident young woman, unafraid to speak her mind, reminds me every day why resilience, self-belief and authenticity matter so much.

These are the same qualities I focus on in my coaching, helping Women in Tech build the confidence to thrive, lead, and break through the barriers of a male-dominated industry.

How I become more self-aware?
For years, I struggled with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), a condition that significantly impacted my daily life. I sought help from countless doctors, nutritionists, and even tried hypnotherapy, yet nothing seemed to work. The breakthrough came when I discovered a specific lifestyle that not only managed my symptoms but transformed my overall well-being.

This lifestyle change involved more than just altering my diet – it required a shift in mindset. I began to approach life and my relationships with greater self-awareness and acceptance, especially of things beyond my control. By letting go of unnecessary stress and focusing on what I could influence, my IBS symptoms reduced dramatically.

The transformation was profound. I went from constant cramps, sleepless nights due to pain, and making up to nine trips to the toilet daily, to experiencing restful sleep, renewed motivation, and increased energy. Remarkably, I also lost 18kg in just a few months – an unintentional but welcome side effect of these changes.

This journey taught me the power of aligning physical health with emotional and mental well-being. IBS might be a condition I live with, but it no longer controls my life, and I now help others discover how self-awareness and lifestyle adjustments can lead to transformative change.

My Vision as Confidence Life Coach for Women in Tech
As a Confidence Coach for Women in Tech, I’ve seen firsthand how self-doubt and limiting beliefs can hold talented women back from advancing in their careers, stepping into leadership roles, or even entering the tech industry in the first place. Throughout my own 25-year career in IT, I often wondered why there weren’t more women in the room and the few I worked with were consistently outstanding.

Many women in tech have the skills and ambition but struggle with confidence in environments where they’re underrepresented. That’s why I’m passionate about helping them overcome those barriers, build self-belief, and thrive in their careers.

Whether it’s speaking up in meetings, going for that promotion, or simply feeling a sense of belonging in a male-dominated industry, I support my clients in developing the confidence and resilience they need to succeed and to become the leaders they’re meant to be.

Through one-on-one coaching sessions and tailored workshops, I’m privileged to support Women in Tech to overcome self-doubt and break through career barriers. My mission is to empower as many women as possible to build the confidence they need to thrive in the tech industry and create the careers and lives they’ve always envisioned.
